I've been working with the AIGA Seattle Design for Good team to create a brand and outreach for Delridge Grocery Co-op here in Seattle.  They are working to grow the Co-op and this summer they had a farm stand where they sell fresh fruit and veggies. They also had food trucks, face painting and music. I created this coloring page as an outreach and marketing tool for them.

Wandering Goose book

I was at the coffee shop working today and I saw this lovely illustrated book on the shelf!  The wandering goose is a local, Seattle cafe that specializes in southern style dining.  They've put out a sweet little picture book illustrated by local illustrator and designer Frida Clements. She has a beautiful style of line drawing.  I like her floral patterns. Here are a few snaps that I sneaked!

Seattle Skyline Promo

I've been working on a new promotional mailing/e-mail to send out.  I like the idea of creating a more personal art piece that distinguishes me.  I decided that it would be fun to create a skyline of Seattle (where I live) and also include some hand written type.

Another reason why I thought that this was a fun idea is because much of my illustration work consists of maps and I also do a lot of hand drawn text.  I've always been drawn to this orange and turquoise combination and most of my website and materials are done with those colors in mind.

Childrens Book Illustration

Here is a follow-up to the sketches that I posted a while back. I just finished a piece for a book by author Mary Beth Granito. The book is about the four seasons, this one being "spring".  I will be posting the "winter" illustration soon!
