Pictures from the show

The gallery exhibit was a success and I sold all but one of my pieces! What was amazing and inspiring to me was how many people told me that they connected on a personal level with my artwork. Here are a few shots of the show.

Gallery Show Poster

I am a part of a group exhibition at American Greetings that will be on display in the gallery September 29th through October 10th.
I volunteered to do the poster, and here it is. I loved the colors and the rays of sun that I used in the water crib illustration, so I used some of those elements (although the colors changed quite a bit). I had a lot of fun with the hand lettering, and I think my next project will be to make some sort of repeat pattern out of those flowers.

I'm excited because I just got copies of my new book, "Green Park". It's always great to see the final product of something that I worked so hard on! It was published by Picture Window Books and written by Trisha Speed Shaskan. Go get one!!

Welcome to my Blog!

Welcome to my very first blog entry ever...and my new and improved website!
Hopefully the new site is easier to use and a little prettier than the old one. And you all will be able to subscribe to my blog and keep update on all my new creations and inspirations. I'm also hoping to soon have a mailing list on the site, where you can sign up to receive any mailings I send out.

I'm going to dedicate this first entry to Tony who put together the site. I created this illustration for his birthday recently. What is it???? That's a good question. We live in Cleveland and you can see this "water crib" from the shore of Lake Erie. It filters the lake water into drinking water. Well, Tony is obsessed with this crib...he loves it. For his birthday I wanted to take him on a boat to see it, but this illustration was the best I could do. So, thanks for all your work Tony! And I hope you all enjoy the new site!
